Dual Radiance

Experience the powerful duo of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Microneedling for radiant, youthful skin. Combining IPL and microneedling maximizes the results of both treatments. While IPL targets concerns near the surface of the skin, microneedling then works its magic throughout the deeper layers of the skin. This synergy brings comprehensive rejuvenation, allowing a variety of concerns to be addressed in a single session.

IPL & Microneedling single sessions are normally $299 each. Save $99 with Dual Radiance at just $499 per session.

WHAT IS IPL? IPL photo facials use a broad-spectrum light source that penetrates multiple layers of skin. IPL stands for intense pulsed light. It may also be known under the name BBL, which stands for broad band light. IPL is a little bit different from a laser. Whereas a laser only produces a single wavelength of light, IPL uses a very bright light in all visible wavelengths to effectively address multiple skin concerns with no downtime. IPL helps reduce the signs of aging, removes unwanted hair, reduces acne outbreaks, lightens dark spots, soothes rosacea, and improves the appearance of scars and spider veins.

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING? Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy. A digital device creates microchannels in the skin, which triggers the body's natural repair mechanisms resulting in the formation of new elastin and collagen.

WHY COMBINE IPL & MICRONEEDLING? Combining IPL and microneedling maximizes the results of both treatments. While IPL targets concerns near the surface of the skin, microneedling then works its magic throughout the deeper layers of the skin. This synergy brings comprehensive rejuvenation, allowing a variety of concerns to be addressed in a single session. Benefits of the combination include: - Enhanced Collagen Production: Both IPL and microneedling stimulate collagen production, leading to improved skin elasticity, a reduction of wrinkles, and an enhanced overall firmness. - Minimized Downtime: While traditional ablative laser treatments may require extended downtime, IPL combined with microneedling offers minimal downtime. Shortly after the procedure patients can expect to resume their daily activities. - Targeted Treatment: Both IPL and microneedling target specific concerns of pigmentation issues and wrinkle/acne scarring, respectively. By combining these treatments, a more individualized and targeted approach to your concerns can be created. - Natural Results: Natural-looking improvements are the goal of these combined treatments due to the gradual collagen production they stimulate. Only a few weeks after the procedure patients report of their skin becoming smoother, toned, and youthful.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED? It may take several sessions to achieve your desired results depending on the type of skin concern and size of the area. We recommend 3-6 Dual Radiance treatments performed one month apart initially and then one to two treatments per year thereafter as maintenance. While you should start to see some great results after the first session, the best outcomes occur after several treatments. Keep in mind that significant sun damage will take longer to treat. SPF 30 and higher must be worn daily to prevent recurrence of brown spots and to reduce future sun damage.

WHO IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE? - Very dark skin: IPL is not recommended for individuals with very melanin rich skin, as the high-energy light used in the treatment may be absorbed by the melanin in the skin, leading to increased risk of side effects such as hyperpigmentation. - Active skin infections or rashes: IPL and Microneedling should not be performed on individuals with active skin infections or rashes, as the treatment may exacerbate these conditions. - Accutane use: Individuals who have recently taken or are currently taking the medication Accutane should not undergo IPL or Microneedling treatment, as the treatment may increase the risk of side effects such as scarring. - Pregnancy: IPL and Microneedling are generally not recommended for pregnant women, as the safety of the treatment during pregnancy has not been established. - Antibiotics use: It is generally not recommended to undergo IPL or Microneedling treatment while taking antibiotics because antibiotics can increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight and other environmental factors, and using IPL in combination with antibiotics may further increase the risk of sun sensitivity and skin irritation. - Retin-A/Retinoid use: Must be discontinued 2-4 weeks prior to treatment.

HOW WILL I LOOK AFTER DUAL RADIANCE? There is no downtime with IPL, although, you may be a little red and experience slight stinging after your treatment. Some treatment areas may temporarily appear deeper in color (called peppering) after IPL therapy but this fades after several days. Some areas of hyperpigmentation may peel a few days after a treatment. Healing from microneedling usually takes 24 hours. Your face will appear flushed for the first 24 hours. You may have some small spots that take up to two to three days depending on the extent of the treatment. You can are free to return to work immediately after treatment and wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
