HYDROFACIAL
A hydrofacial is a powerful, non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment. It combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection that removes dead skin cells and impurities while simultaneously infusing moisturizing serums into the skin. Pure Skin Hydrofacials combine the exfoliating glow of a microdermabrasion diamond tip, customized serum infusions and non-invasive high frequency (HF).
Research Clinical research with randomized controlled trials have shown Hydrofacials increase epidermal thickness, collagen hyalinization, and fibroblast density. Fine lines, pore size, and hyperpigmentation were decreased following treatment. citation: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm. nih.gov/19146604/ Clinical trials with patients receving 4 Sessions of high frequency showed collagen volume increase from 9.0% before therapy to 25.9% at 3 months after therapy. In this study, multi-pass and low-energy high frequency treatment caused the most apparent collagen contraction. The use of HF therapy for aging skin is effective in inducing collagen regeneration. One of the underlying mechanisms is encouragement of the expression of transforming growth factor β,34 which can promote the growth of dermal collagen and stimulate tissue repair. citation: https://onlinelibrary.wiley. com/doi/abs/10.1111/dth. 12195 Multimodality treatment combined with non-invasive high frequency energy with optical energy, including IPL, has remarkable efficacy for improving erythema, telangiectasis (broken capillaries), and skin texture. citation: https://link.springer.com/ article/10.1007/s10103-017-2207-9
How is the Pure Skin Hydrofacial different from others? Cleansing & Massage: Pure Skin's Hydrofacial starts with a double cleanse and thorough facial massage with lymphatic drainage. Peel: A lactic acid peel follows. Lactic acid is specifically used to treat hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven complexion. Other benefits of AHAs like lactic acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance. Lactic acid is very mild and does not cause any flaking or peeling. Exfoliation: Pure Skin utilizes a diamond tip for wet microdermabrasion while simultaneously infusing medical grade serums. Microdermabrasion encourages the skin to repair itself. It also stimulates the production of new cells and boosts collagen. Serum Infusion: Pure Skin serums contain antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and peptides, promoting hydration and giving your skin a healthy glow. Choose your serum... Hydro Glow with Hyaluronic Acid, Age-Defying Peptide, Vitamin C Brightening and Clarifying Detox with Salicylic Acid. High Frequency: Pure Skin Hydrofacials includes the power of High Frequency (HF) to boost collagen production, increase microcirculation, and minimize pores and fine lines.
What are the benefits of a Hydrofacial? 1. Suitable For All Skin Types Whether your skin is oily and acne-prone, dry and flaky, or you have combination skin, you will benefit from a hydrofacial treatment. Even those with sensitive skin can safely enjoy multiple sessions! 2. Gentle Despite the fact that a hydrofacial involves both exfoliation and extraction, it is painless and non-irritating to the skin. Since it delivers hydrating serums, clients are left with a smooth, radiant, healthy glow. Some patients liken the sensation of getting a hydrofacial to a light face massage. 3. Zero Downtime No downtime required after the treatment. The improvement in the appearance of skin texture can be noticed immediately, so patients do not need to recover or wait for redness to disappear. You can put makeup on and resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. 4. Can Be Paired With Other Treatments HydroFacials are non-invasive, meaning that clients can receive other skincare treatments in conjunction with a hydrofacial. IPL or a dermaplane make a perfect pairing. 5. Customizable Your esthetician can tailor your hydrofacial treatment to your unique skin needs. Clients can choose the booster to meet their goals- Vitamin C (brightening), Peptide (anti-aging), Salicylic (clarifying) or Hyaluronic Acid (hydration).
What is Non-Invasive High Frequency Therapy? High Frequency Therapy (HF) is a non-invasive aesthetic procedure that uses a high-frequency alternating current to heat tissue in the dermis of the skin in a controlled and selective way to increase collagen, which consequently decreases skin laxity and photoaging. This thermal treatment is so efficacious because it causes changes in collagen structure and also triggers neocollagenesis, or the production of new collagen fibers, in the dermal layers. As we get older, our bodies produce less and less collagen. This is why our skin becomes thinner and looser with age. Collagen is an essential protein for the skin and is the driving force behind skin becoming firmer, smoother, thicker, and more youthful. High frequency addresses signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles by inducing tissue remodeling and replenishing depleted collagen. The time for new cell turnover is 28 days, so high frequency treatments can be repeated regularly to achieve cumulative effects. This non-invasive treatment has no downtime, pain, or discomfort.
What are the benefits of Non-Invasive High Frequency Therapy? -Strengthens collagen proteins and encourages the production of new collagen and elastin formation -Tightens and firms facial skin -Decreases depth of wrinkles -Encourages elastin production -Safe for all kinds of skin
What is the aftercare? The active ingredients used in our hydrofacials are potent yet gentle enough to allow for little to no downtime post treatment, which means you can continue your day without any major changes. That being said, some redness is common during and immediately after treatment but dissipates within minutes or the hour depending on the individual. -Refrain from washing your face for a few hours to ensure thorough product absorption & longer-lasting results. -Avoid using any beauty products that contain exfoliating acids such as glycolic and salicylic, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, scrubs and cleansing brushes for at least 48 hours. These can cause irritation, sensitivity and can strip the barrier of the skin. Think gentle and hydrating! -Wait at least 7-10 days for another facial treatment to give enough time for your skin to acclimate and regenerate. -Avoid waxing or other hair removal treatments. -Take extra care with sun exposure for the days following your hydroFacial. With any facial procedure your potential for sun sensitivity is slightly elevated for a few days after. Wear sunscreen daily and reapply every 2 hours during prolonged exposure. -Skip the workout and relax! The excessive heat and sweat post-treatment can cause irritation and inhibit your best result.
How many treatments are needed to see results? One treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne and oily skin. It may take about 6-8 treatments for the best outcome. Results vary depending on skin type, hair type, contrast, age etc...
