Have you completed your 100 Hours Fundamentals Course and are unsure of your next step? While all towns in MA have different licensing requirements, almost all require 25-50 supervised completed procedures.
Not ready to make a full time commitment to an apprenticeship? Need a flexible schedule while working? Pure Skin offers one-on-one supervised clinic days on weekends. You can work towards licensure at your own pace.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION * Completed 100 Hour Fundamentals Course * Must be 18+ with a valid ID * CPR & First Aid Certification * Bloodborne Pathogen Certification * Completed Hepatitis B Vaccination Series A supervised temporary license will need to be obtained through the Maynard Board of Health. Pure Skin will help facilitate this.
MA TOWN REQUIREMENTS All towns in MA have different education and training requirements for licensure. Please contact your local Board of Health.
MODELS FOR SUPERVISED PROCEDURES All apprentices must provide their own models for their clinic days. You are able to charge your model to offset your clinic day costs.
WHAT DOES A CLINIC DAY LOOK LIKE? You arrive 30 min prior to your model for set up, prep and Q&A. 2 hour supervised procedure with model. 30 min client check out, clean up and Q&A.
COST OF CLINIC DAYS 3 Hour Clinic Day- $350 Package of 3 Clinic Days- $850 (save $50) Included In the Cost of your clinic day: -Supervision Time -Use of licensed clinic space -Student Liability Insurance Coverage -Use of PMU device -Use of needles, pigments, numbing agents, disposables and mapping tools. You can charge your models for your services to offset the cost of the clinic day.
WHAT IF I ALREADY HAVE SOME COMPLETED PROCEDURES WITH ANOTHER ARTIST? That is totally fine. Pure Skin will sign off on all completed procedures completed at our clinic. These can be combined with your prior procedures for licensure application.
